The Costa del Sol has numerous well-kept beaches and many of them have been awarded the European Blue Flag award for high standards of water and sand hygiene.

On the popular bathing beaches you will be able to hire shade and sun-beds as well as having shower facilities. Don’t forget to visit a 'Chiringuito', bars on the beach or sea front, they serve cold drinks and delicious food including fresh fish, try the char-grilled sardines they are fantastic.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, these two 18 hole courses are very popular, early booking is advised. Los Olivos, lined as you would expect with Olive trees is the tighter of the two courses with many bunkers, water traps and fast undulating greens. Los Lagos, - named for the seven water hazards is the longer course. Both are mainly flat, and easy to walk, with wide fairways, very challenging yet enjoyable golf. Their popularity does not diminish and many golfers would not visit the coast without playing Mijas.
