MAR AZUL’s exclusive resort apartments are arranged in an appealing “V”-shape, but designed in such a way that each apartment is provided with the individual and intimate privacy that one might expect from a detached villa. The open end of the “V” is purely beach and sea! At the point of the “V” is the “APARTHOTEL”.

Arranged within the “V” are exuberant and colourful tropical gardens and a unique inner world of spectacular sculptured swimming pools, ponds, canals, fountains, and cascading waterfalls, enhanced by elegant features such as sunken Jacuzzi deck-chairs and big comfortable settees under thatched-roofed cabanas offering hideaways of peace and tranquillity.

Both the MAR AZUL beach-bar and main “infinity pool” are right on the beachside, with totally panoramic views over the sea to Africa & Gibraltar. All this complemented by a micro-climate of 320 days annual sunshine !

The “V”-shape that the apartments on MAR AZUL define ensures that all the apartments have glorious sea-views, and because the complex is South-facing, all apartments receive their full share of the Sun.

Our ground floor apartments are literally within a stone’s throw of the beach, and just five privacy steps up from the pool and garden complex. It overlooks the central pool area, beyond that the “infinity pool”, and then …..sea…..sea…..more sea…..and the occasional ship !

No effort or expense has been spared to provide ultimate levels of comfort within the apartment:- top of the range totally-enclosed micro-climate air-quality control system; under-floor heating (with independent control to every room including hall-way and bathrooms); infinitely adjustable and automatic sunken halogen lighting; mood-lighting; high quality piped music system throughout (even on the terrace); totally mar belled bathrooms enhanced by perfectly matching hydro-massage showers; “his & hers” basins; huge heated mirrors which don’t steam-up; bidet and Jacuzzi bath. There’ll be no rushing the ladies out of these bathrooms!

In the beautifully fitted kitchen the Siemens dishwasher, washing machine, and tumble-dryer are nowhere to be seen; only the controls of the fitted microwave and the stainless-steel doors of the fridge and freezer are visible, the rest hidden behind beautifully sculptured cupboard doors and self-closing drawers, and under granite work-surfaces.

Both the master bedroom and spacious lounge feature vast picture windows and wide sliding glass doors (featuring privacy glass & mosquito netting) leading onto the extensive sun-drenched terrace and our private manicured lawned area in front, the perfect place for those alfresco breakfasts in the sun in the morning, the perfect place to “spread yourselves out” during the day on the loungers provided, the perfect place for a romantic candle-lit dinner in the evening ‘till late.

The video security system, (incorporating magnetic card entering system), 24-hour security guards, underground car park with remote-controlled gate & doors, silent lift from garage, peep-hole, panic-button, and safety deposit box in master bedroom, all combine to maximise the feeling of well-being, enhancing the relaxing and care-free ambience here on MAR AZUL.

Our guests at MAR AZUL have full unlimited access to all the facilities offered by the attached “Aparthotel”. These include the restaurants & bars, (both leading onto large terraces overlooking the pools, gardens and sea beyond), heated indoor pool, fully-equipped gymnasium, beauty salons, spa, Jacuzzis, sauna, steam-rooms, thermal baths etc, and laundry, baby-sitting, concierge, and porter services.

There are character ful beach bars within a few minutes walk along the sand or promenade in either direction, and dozens more bars and restaurants in Estepona, which is only 25 to 30 minutes walk away (by beach or road), or 5 minutes drive. Bus & taxi services are excellent along this coast, and at very reasonable cost.

Estepona is the focal point of this luxury resort area because of it’s authentic and unspoilt Andalusian atmosphere. A real living Spanish town of 30,000 souls, the ebb & flow of Estepona’s daily and seasonal rhythms moves pretty much as it has done for centuries, reminiscent of another unchanging ebb & flow, that of the shimmering turquoise sea rippling up it’s beautiful wide sandy beaches.
